Wood (dark-stained boxwood or ebony), mid-19th century, Japan
Intricately carved netsuke in the form of a gourd entwined with a coiled dragon among floral motifs. The design symbolizes good fortune, protection, and wisdom.
Period: Late Edo–Meiji (c. mid-19th century)
Condition: Very good, minor surface wear consistent with age
