On his back, the Oni holds a tobacco pouch with metal fittings (kanamono locks), a kiseru (pipe), and an inro. An additional playful detail is the presence of an Okame (Otafuku) mask, tied among
the stolen items, adding a humorous contrast between the demon’s ferocity and the cheerful mask.
