Antique Rustic Wooden Inro with Ojime
A charming hand-carved wooden inrō complete with its original-style cord and an ojime bead. The inrō has a beautifully worn black lacquer surface with red lacquer showing through in many areas, creating a warm and authentic wabi-sabi appearance. Six raised cord posts secure the cord, and the attached ojime bead slides smoothly to open the lid.
Dating to the late Meiji – early Shōwa period (circa 1900), this rustic inrō has strong presence and a unique folk-art character. The interior and hinge area show natural wood with aged red lacquer tones.
